Asus Eee PC 1000HE Netbook

The Asus Eee PC 1000HE netbook uses the new Intel Atom N280 CPU which is paired with a high performance chipset that allows users to watch high-definition content on Asus Eee PC 1000HE while using less energy. This is a great little computer for travel. With a faster front-side bus the new Atom N280 processor runs at 667MHz (667MHz FSB). The Atom N280 processor runs at 1.66GHz, and you may also buy a 2GB stick of ram. It's a very easy upgrade, and it only takes about 5 minutes to install.

There is very fast boot up time and runs XP just fine. But Photoshop CS and Photoshop 7 run flawlessly. However, it works well and has plenty of space with the 160GB HD. This netbook has a 10.2-inch LED-backlit widescreen display, and 1024 x 600 resolution that allows you to view a single page without often needing to scroll left or right. And of course, it also includes software that allows users to change the resolution to 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768.

The large chiclet keyboard will allow you to work or travel in absolute comfort for hours on end. This chiclit style is much better than the old 1000H model, and it was an easy keyboard to adjust to and comfortable.

As you know it has a smaller screen than a larger laptop, but the battery can sustain 7.5 hours. So you don't have to bring the charger all the time. Well, you can download software you might need via the internet, or you could do a LAN connection to access another computer's drives.

Overall, the Asus Eee PC 1000HE netbook is really great, the price point is dead on, and the widescreen display is actually quite nice.
